DANITA HARTY

Whom does Danita work with?

Danita started out working with female clients.  Women who appeared completely happy to the world. The women seemed to have no reason to be discontent, ungrateful, anxious or depressed; but somehow still were.  Successful women in their profession, successful women in their personal lives.  This morphed into the reasons why this discontent exists, how it affects relationships and what she could do to help.

This later translated into working with men.  Men who seemed to have it all.  But still felt lost, discontent, uncertain of themselves.  Because while all people may not think & feel in the same way, they are often left wondering, why aren't I enough?  Why isn't this good enough.  How do I be better?

What Danita believes?

Danita believes in the strength of the individual and appreciates how people develop resiliency and learn ways to cope with the stresses of life.  She believes using the trauma-informed practices of EMDR and brainspotting is an incredible journey of self-discovery and opens the door to overcoming barriers and improving performance in all areas of life.

Who is Danita really tho?

Groomed for a free-spirited heart while being raised in the Canadian Prairies, Danita has leaped from the world’s highest bungee jump, surfed one of the largest pipelines, army crawled to track lions across Kruger National Park, motorbiked through the rice fields of Indonesia, stared down the barrel of an AK 47 while being robbed, revelled in the mist on the top of Waynapichu, sat in silence for days at an Indian Ashram, mothered 2 incredibly strong-willed children, and fought a forest fire from the back of a pickup truck.  She has guided yoga and meditation for entrepreneurs, CEOs, and mothers.  She has worked with her therapeutic clients to manage the highs and lows of life; served as a consultant to partners of a major Canadian real estate firm, and coached athletes during times of transition to define their identities.

Danita’s most recent work has been on narrative & identity, getting to your non-negotiables. The program is set to advise and serve as a tool to transition through the big Rs (Relationships, Retirement, and Recovery) with conviction and strength.

Danita is a doctoral candidate for her work in the maintenance of a distinct personal identity being an indicator of relationship satisfaction and how to define or maintain that distinct identity through relationships.  She examines the connection between relationship satisfaction and individual performance in a relationship.  Danita is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting therapeutic modalities as well as CBT, SFBT, attachment and narrative therapy.  Danita was a provisional psychologist in Alberta before moving to British Columbia and has a CCC certification.

With her colleague, Jennifer Dolynchuk, Danita has produced and hosted online webinars to help people create awareness, gain a better understanding of their self-concept, and improve their psychological and practical functioning.  The book she is co-authoring, On the Verge, questions the ramifications of losing your identity; being lost in the world without a clear and distinct set of non-negotiable values, where that can lead you and how to come back from it with power and a sense of liberation.  The book is set to be released in Late Fall 2022.

JENNIFER DOLYNCHUK

Jennifer Dolynchuk entered the world of television at the age of four when she appeared in her first commercial. She saw the snacks at the craft service table and knew there was no turning back. Since then, she's acted in over 70 television projects and ate thousands of mini donuts. Jennifer fell in love with the camera but realized her intense fear of public speaking.

After studying television broadcasting in Vancouver, Jen worked for Calgary-based production company Pyramid Productions. As an entertainment producer and reporter on the national television program Inside Entertainment, she hit up red carpets such as Toronto International Film Festival, Canadian Country Music Awards, and Junos. Jen had the pleasure of interviewing countless actors, including Halle Berry, Matt Damon, Shia LaBeouf, Larry David, Jared Leto, Michael J. Fox, and Alec Baldwin. She learned many celebrities suffer from anxiety when performing on stage or on screen. Having an extreme passion for music, Jennifer moved to Toronto and eventually Brisbane, where she covered multiple music festivals, adding to her growing list of over 450 musicians interviewed. Favorites include Rob Zombie, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Carlos Santa, David Guetta, and the late Gordon Downie and Chris Cornell. She realized stage fright was a nightly occurrence for many musicians, no matter how many shows they played.

Jennifer then set her daily alarm for 3 AM to report traffic and Entertainment on CTV Morning Live. She was forced to finally overcome her fear of public speaking while hosting charity events. Her next stop was Los Angeles to work behind the camera for Gearshift Productions. Jennifer has directed public speaking courses, produced Podcasts, filmed fishing videos, launched Expand Hope, an NGO that builds schools in Guatemala, and co-founded King's Kids. Her favourite project to date was producing the #Maketodaymatter campaign. With over 5 million views, it created a domino effect of random acts of kindness.

Jennifer adores travel; despite her motion sickness, she has toured the world on planes, trains, buses, tuk-tuks, and boats while curled up in the fetal position. Her last Gravol-filled "world trip" included 18 countries from Croatia to the United Emirates to the Philippines in under 90 days. She has lived in Inverness, Toronto, Orlando, Los Angeles, and Brisbane, and is now a digital nomad, going where her clients need her.

Jennifer experienced the intense fear of being forced to speak in public because of her career. Through trial and error, she has overcome it. She understands that 75% of the population struggles with public speaking, performing, or appearing on c mera. By utilizing methods such as role-playing scenarios, virtual reality, and HeartMath breathing, she has helped her clients define their fearless identities.
